Ergonomics: Explained
Ergonomics is the adaptation of the workplace to the worker through correct sitting posture. The goals of ergonomic design are to improve the job process by reducing or eliminating unnecessary tasks, overexertion, and mental or physical fatigue.
Dentists are prone to forward-head postures after years of holding the head and neck in an unbalanced forward position to improve visibility. Maintaining a neutral balanced posture will promote efficient use of your muscles and keep you comfortable for longer periods.
