Film Placement
  1. The midsagittal plane of the patient's head is vertical.

  2. The maxillary occlusal plane is horizontal.

  3. The film is placed in the patient's mouth so that the side to be exposed is facing the maxillary arch. The patient closes on the film.

  4. The vertical angle of the x-ray beam is +65 degrees and the central ray is directed in the midsagittal plane to the center of the film through a point midway between the nasion and the tip of the nose.
