Mansur Ahmad is the director of Oral Radiology program. He is an Associate Professor in the Division of Oral Medicine and Diagnosis, Department of Diagnostic and Biological Sciences of University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. He received his dental degree from India. After practicing general dentistry for five years, he attended the University of Connecticut Health Center where he completed a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and a PhD in Oral Biology. In 1996, he became a Diplomate of American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. In 2013, he served as the President of the same board
In 1999, he joined University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Dr. Ahmad's research interests are TMJ imaging, CBCT imaging, and tissue engineering. He is a mentor to several residents in their master’s project and PhD candidates from Thailand and Egypt.
In 2010, he received the highest award from the dental school: Century Club Professor of the Year.
