DDS6243 Course Purpose:

To acquire skills in taking digital radiographs on patients, radiographic interpretation of full mouth sets of radiographs and panoramic radiographs, film-based intraoral radiography, and familiarity of cone beam computed tomography software. The purpose of this course is to give students clinical instruction in oral radiography and opportunities to develop proficiency in intraoral and extraoral radiographic procedures, quality evaluations and interpretation of intraoral and panoramic radiographs.

Clinic Course Requirement DDS6243 has six competencies:
1. Full Mouth (FM) Radiography Technique Competency.
2. Panoramic Radiography Technique Competency.
3. Intraoral Radiographic Interpretation Basic Competency
4. FM Radiographic Interpretation Complex Competency
5. Panoramic Radiographic Interpretation Competency
6. Cone Beam Computed Tomography Software Competency
Clinic sign-up Protocol Radiology interp sessions are for 15 minutes. Please use pencil to enter your name in the sign-up sheet. Please do not reserve more than two sessions in one day.
Interp Room Protocol Please be prepared to discuss your case with the faculty member. Please keep your voice low in consideration of other students. Please leave the room as clean and tidy as possible. If you are the last student of the day, please shut down the computers. Thanks!
